The Monchhichis are a group of intelligent monkey-like creatures that live high up in the trees that rise above the clouds of Monchia. They are a happy bunch except for the times that the purple Grumplins from nearby Grumplor cause them problems. The Monchhichis are usually able to outsmart the Grumplins. When they aren't they have their leader Wizzar the Wizard to protect them. The Monchhichis were based on a line of dolls that originated in Japan, and were introduced by Hanna-Barbera in an attempt to repeat the success of the Smurfs.
