You are responsible for making sure your dvd player will play DVD-R's.
The discs will play in nearly all U.S. DVD players and computers with a dvd drive as well as most game systems.
Some older (1998-2002) or heavily used players may experience a problem reading the more lightly embedded information created by consumer DVD burners. We test our discs using Panasonic, Toshiba & Magnavox U.S. DVD players. We have also tested use on our HP computer DVD drive using WINDVD & POWERDVD programs as well as a RCA portable dvd player.
We will replace any defective discs you receive. We scan them after they are burned and if it doesn't compare to the original we throw them away, but sometimes a bad one gets through.
Example problem: If you buy a 5 DVD set and all 5 discs will not play, they play but the picture freezes up or the audio is out of sync. That is what happens when the player can't read the information embedded on the discs. First try using another brand of DVD player if you have one available. If you don't have another one available for testing, ask a friend to try the disc in their player and 9 out of 10 times the disc will play fine. I found that the Magnavox brand works the best. You can buy a Magnavox DVD Player for under $30 at most Wal-Mart and BestBuy department stores. They will play all DVD-R discs without any problems.
